Next Steps and Resources
Congratulations! You've completed AI for Administrative Assistants: Automating Your Workflow. You now have the knowledge and templates to start using AI immediately in your daily work.
Your Action Plan for This Week
Don't just close this course and forget everything. Take action this week:
- Day 1: Create an account on one AI tool (ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini) if you haven't already
- Day 2: Use AI to draft one email you would normally write from scratch
- Day 3: Try the Meeting Summary prompt on your next meeting transcript or notes
- Day 4: Save the 10 prompt templates from this course into a document for easy access
- Day 5: Use AI to help with one spreadsheet task (formula, report, or template)
- Day 6: Review your AI tool's privacy settings and turn off data sharing
- Day 7: Reflect: Which task saved you the most time? Make that your go-to AI use case
Practice Exercises
To solidify your skills, try these exercises:
- Email exercise: Take a recent difficult email you received. Use AI to help draft a response. Compare it to what you would have written manually.
- Document exercise: Ask AI to draft a memo announcing a new office initiative (your choice). Review and refine it until it's ready to send.
- Data exercise: Upload a non-sensitive document (like a sample invoice) to AI and ask it to extract the data into a table format.
- Formula exercise: Describe a spreadsheet problem you currently have to AI and ask for a formula solution. Test it in your spreadsheet.
- Itinerary exercise: Create a sample 3-day business travel itinerary for a fictional trip using the travel prompt template.
